So a guy walks into a Goodwill...

AND FIND'S HIS OLD BAND'S T-SHIRT!!!! Saaayy Whaaatt?!?!?

I think we only made like 40 of these 6 years ago. That was way back when we sounded like the weird love child of mewithoutYou and Saxon Shore. That was also back when we won the Battle of the Bands at our high school (I still have the backstage passes from that gig).

At first I was kinda pissed that someone tossed it out but I was glad that I found it instead of some other joker.

Overall Stoked Rating: Apprehensively Stoked

Teaser Time

This is the best part of a rough demo of the song Holly Holy. Cam is at a wedding today so I took it upon myself to play the drums (hence why they're awful). This is just a sample of what we're capable of, beware.

There are two types of people in this world...

Cam and I were listening to Neil Diamond (like we so often do) and realized that no person on this planet has experienced loneliness to the extent that Neil has. He sings in 'I am... I said' "And no one heard at all, not even the chair." Neil felt so deserted that he was quite certain that not even an inanimate object would (if it could) care about his isolated and rejected state.

Cam and I were so inspired by Neil that we've taken it upon ourselves to start a tribute band to pay homage to a man that has given us soooo much.

At first we were just going call the project Neil. But since the last two projects I've been in (Lambert Post and George Rogers Clark) were the names of people, I decided that maybe I should be a bit more creative this time around. I hit inspirational gold while listening to "Cherry, Cherry".

"Y'ain't got no right
No, no you don't
Ah, to be so exciting
Won't need bright lights
No, no we won't
Gonna make our own lightning."

soooo we shall be calling ourselves...

And for the record we're are completely serious about this. And by serious I mean we practiced today and we're recording tomorrow.

Oh, Crap

We ran out of toilet paper.
Cam says, "Don't worry man, I'll get some."
Assured that he will indeed somehow acquire some T.P. I go on with my day.
A couple hours later Cam brings home some T.P.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you Cam's definition of some...

There are 96 rolls in that box!!!

So it begins... sorta.

Cam and I are in Marion, Indiana watching over the apartment that most of the band Desert Neighbor resides in. They're on tour in the East part of the country so if you get a chance you should check them out, they're good dudes.

Yesterday we got off to a rough start. I spent the previous night in the apartment and when I left I locked the door behind me (because that's what you do when you're responsible). But I apparently locked the wrong door; a door that no one has a key to.

To make a long story short... we got back into the apartment later that evening (via an upstairs bathroom window). I do find it a little ironic how we had to break into the apartment in order to make sure it doesn't get broken into (I hope that makes sense, because it does).

Stump and Cam Pt. 2.

A few of you may remember our escapades last year in Tennessee. You may also remember how bummed you were when it was over. Fear not my friends we have returned.

This time we're not going very far. Stump and Cam are making it Marion.

Fourth of July Weekend

For this weekend Adam will be going solo on the blogging. He's going to be in Pigeon Forge, TN with his family. For this week the blog will be called "Stump in Tennessee".

Here's a little gem from the last time I was in Tennessee. This is the picture of Cam and I's tour group at the Jack Daniel's Distillery from their website. Cam and I split up for this shot, good luck finding me.
